Walk
:
Starts at 11am from the
Rainbow Ballroom of Romance and takes approximately one hour to and
from the lakeshore of Lough McNean in Glenfarne Forest. See fabulous views across the lake to Cavan and Fermanagh
Talk
Directly after the walk in The
Rainbow Ballroom you can hear a little about Syria from
Rola
Eldahouk is an Irish-Syrian living in Sligo for the past eight years.
Rola will tell her story including how moving to Ireland changed her
life. She will also talk about Syria today, some of her family are
still there.
Refreshments
Enjoy good Leitrim hospitality with home made soup, brown bread, biccies and a cuppa while listening to traditional Irish music from our local Comhaltas group
Funds:
Funds raised will go to
Medecins Sans Frontieres’ (MSF) Emergency Appeal for Syria, 100% of
all money collected will go directly to Syria.
